North Coast Industrial Imaging Offers Product and Process Optimization

Heat: Friend or Foe?

June 29, 2009 -- North Coast Industrial Imaging (NCII) is excited to offer a new service to its current and future customers. Jim Jackson, NCII’s Vice President of Predictive Technologies, commented that “in most industrial processes, heat can either be friend or foe.” NCII’s experienced Industrial Strike Force can give customers the tools and direction to optimize their processes and products by observing, measuring and monitoring heat – generally through the use of thermal imaging. This optimization process can yield dramatic improvements in energy consumption, process throughput and product quality.

NCII has put together a team of experienced professionals that have a proven record of successes in a variety of industrial settings. While their historical focus has been the automotive industry, the Industrial Strike Force can tackle any industrial challenge. Among the new services to be provided by NCII are the following:

  • Multi-machine thermal comparisons – identify machines that are operating inefficiently by comparing the thermal signatures of similar machines.
  • Thermally balance processes – identify the ‘sweet spot’ in an industrial process through a design of experiments that yields quantifiable results.
  • Cooling audits – a systematic process that can identify inefficiencies in injection molding processes and increase throughput by optimizing cooling cycles.

NCII was formed in 2007 to provide high quality imaging products and services to businesses and industrial concerns in the Great Lakes Region. In addition to representing several manufacturers of imaging devices and software, NCII also provides thermal imaging services such as electrical audits, injection molding cooling audits, and building audits to customers in the region.
